By enrolling onto any WhyWeight.fit course, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions, which govern your relationship with WhyWeight.fit as a learner. These terms apply to all courses offered, including but not limited to fitness qualifications and related services.

1. Agreement to Terms
By enrolling onto any WhyWeight.fit course, you confirm that:
- You are at least 16 years of age (where applicable)
- You have met all the prerequisite requirements for the course
- You have had all your questions about the course, its content, and requirements answered satisfactorily prior to enrolment
- You agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions, which govern your relationship with WhyWeight.fit as a learner
These terms apply to all courses offered, including but not limited to fitness qualifications and related services.
2. Academic Integrity
Originality of Work: All submitted work must be your own. Plagiarism or submission of work completed by someone else will result in disqualification from the course and potential legal action. Learners are expected to maintain the highest standards of academic honesty.
Referencing: When using third-party sources or ideas, they must be properly referenced according to academic standards provided in the course guidelines.
3. Course Fees and Payments
Payment Requirements: All course fees must be paid in full (unless you are on and agreed payment plan) before you can access the course materials, submit assessments, or receive any qualification certificates.
Instalment Payments: If you are paying in instalments, you must complete all payments by the agreed-upon deadlines. Failure to do so may result in suspension from the course.
Refund Policy: Course fees are non-refundable once the course has commenced, except in cases of proven hardship or medical conditions, which must be assessed and approved by WhyWeight.fit at its discretion.
4. Certification and Replacement Certificates
Issuance of Certificates: You will only receive your certification once all coursework, assessments, and payments have been completed.
Replacement Certificates: A fee of £45 applies for replacement certificates. Please allow up to 14 working days for replacement certificates to be processed.
5. Deadlines for Submitting Coursework
Submission Deadlines: All coursework and assessments must be submitted by the deadlines provided at the start of the course. Late submissions may result in penalties or disqualification.
Extensions: Extensions may be granted in cases of extenuating circumstances. Requests must be submitted in writing and accompanied by supporting evidence.
6. Use of Course Materials and Copyright
Intellectual Property: All course materials, including handouts, videos, and resources, are protected by copyright. These materials are provided for personal use only, and may not be copied, shared, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without written permission from WhyWeight.fit.
Respect for Copyright: Learners are expected to respect the intellectual property of WhyWeight.fit and other external sources provided during the course.
7. Health and Fitness Requirements
PAR-Q Form (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire): You are required to complete a PAR-Q form before participating in any practical fitness elements of the course. This ensures that you are fit to undertake physical activities.
Medical Conditions: It is your responsibility to inform WhyWeight.fit of any health conditions that may affect your ability to participate. If necessary, medical clearance may be requested prior to participation.
8. Learner Conduct
Professionalism and Ethics: Learners are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and conduct throughout the course. This includes acting as a role model within the health and fitness community.
Code of Conduct:
You must:
- Respect other learners, instructors, and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality where applicable.
- Abide by the laws and regulations related to health, fitness, and education.
- Demonstrate respect for diversity, inclusion, and equality in all interactions.
9. Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
WhyWeight.fit is committed to creating a learning environment that is welcoming and inclusive. Discrimination or harassment based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic will not be tolerated.
Learner Responsibility: All learners are expected to contribute to an environment that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion, and report any issues in this regard to course administrators.
10. Safeguarding
Learner Safety: WhyWeight.fit is committed to safeguarding the well-being of all learners. If you have concerns about your own safety or that of another learner, please report it immediately to the designated safeguarding officer.
Safeguarding Training: Learners may be required to complete basic safeguarding training as part of certain qualifications.
11. Course/Session Cancellation
Course Cancellation by WhyWeight.fit: WhyWeight.fit reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses or individual classes due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., low enrolment, instructor availability, or venue issues). Learners will be informed as soon as possible, and alternative arrangements will be made where feasible.
Venue Changes: While we aim to provide consistent venues, venue changes may occur. WhyWeight.fit will notify learners promptly if this happens.
Learner Cancellation: If you need to cancel your enrolment, please refer to our refund policy. No refunds are available once the course has started unless there are extenuating circumstances.
12. Course Delivery Options
Blended Learning: Some courses may be delivered through a combination of online modules and face-to-face sessions. By enrolling in the course, you accept that certain aspects of the program may require travel to a designated centre (primarily London) for assessments or practical components.
Travel to London: If your course includes mandatory in-person sessions, it is your responsibility to arrange travel and accommodation if necessary. WhyWeight.fit is not responsible for any travel or accommodation expenses incurred by learners.
13. Data Protection and Privacy
Personal Information: WhyWeight.fit collects and processes personal data in accordance with UK data protection laws. Your information will only be used for purposes related to your course and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, unless legally required.
Email Communications: By enrolling in a course, you consent to receiving communications from WhyWeight.fit related to the course and additional opportunities. We will not send you any marketing emails unless you opt in to this manually.
14. Health and Safety
Health and Safety Procedures: Learners must adhere to all health and safety guidelines provided during the course, particularly during practical sessions. This includes proper use of equipment and reporting any accidents or injuries immediately.
Personal Responsibility: It is your responsibility to ensure that you are physically fit and capable of participating in any physical aspects of the course. If in doubt, please seek medical advice before enrolling.
15. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
WhyWeight.fit reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions as needed. Any changes will be communicated to learners in advance, and continued participation in the course constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
